Turn 10 Teases Snow In First Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Releasing December 2016.

Forza Horizon 3 Expansion

On Tuesday, November 1st, 2016, Turn 10 released an update to Forza Horizon 3 about 1 GB in size. Accompanying this update was the Alpinestars Car Pack, which serves as the November DLC for the game.  The Alpinestars Car Pack brought with it 7 new cars to Forza Horizon 3 for $6.99. In their usual DLC post in, Turn 10 included an unexpected announcement too; snow in the first Forza Horizon 3 Expansion.

Turn 10 has officially announced in the form of a teaser image that snow will be coming to Forza Horizon 3 later this year. Considering that they just released the November DLC, and there is only one more month left in this year, we can expect snow to come to the game some time in December. The teaser image features the Lamborghini Centenario over what indisputably looks like snow with some of the snow also sticking to its body and wheels.

This first expansion for Forza Horizon 3, which is still untitled and only referred as the first expansion for the game, can be purchased individually once available. It is also offered to as part of the Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass, which is available at $34.99. The Expansion Pass includes access to two future expansions, with this one being one of them, for a discounted price. Owners of the Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition receive a $10 discount for the expansion as long as they purchase it (Expansion Pass) before the end of 2016, bringing their cost for down to $24.99.

In the past, features that were first introduced in Forza Horizon games have made their way to the Forza Motorsport games. For example, rain and night racing were first introduced in Forza Horizon 2. One year later, both rain races and night racing were an integral part of Forza Motorsport 6. The fact that snow is being added to Forza Horizon 3 suggests that Forza Motorsport 7, unannounced but expected to release next year, will include some sort of rally component.

It is important to note that no information regarding Forza Motorsport 7 has been announced yet. However, past Forza trends do indicate a strong possibility of snow being featured too in Forza Motorsport 7. If snow was to be featured in Forza Motorsport 7, it would most likely appear in the form of rally races, although I am sure most of us would not mind taking on the Nordschleife while it is completely covered in snow!
