Forza public lobbies could soon feature cleaner racing. The indie developer of Wreckfest, Bugbear Entertainment, has just had two amazing announcements. Since the Early Access launch of Wreckfest, Bugbear have been asked whether Wreckfest will be ever released on consoles. Today Bugbear announced that Wreckfest is officially coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4! Quoting the Studio Director, Janne Alanenpää: “Thanks to the raw power of both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 we will be able to unleash our undistilled vision of a next-generation demolition racing game on consoles as well and expand our audience considerably.”
And the best part? Bugbear Entertainment is already taking pre-orders so that you can jump in early and become active in the game’s development by providing feedback that will help shape the title into something even better before its final release. By pre-ordering now you will also make sure you’re be among the first to play the game when the first playable console version is released in Early Access!
Wreckfest pre-orders have different tiers that allow you to get your hands on multiple perks in addition to the game itself. Starting at $19.99, you can get access to the game on the Game Preview program on the Xbox One, or PS4 Beta Access, plus the full game once it releases. The higher the tier, the more juicy the pre-order bundles become. Pre-ordering the highest tier, Team Bugbear Member, at $69.99, will grant you access to: Wreckfest on Steam; Bugbear’s newly announced project, Stuntfest, on PC; full version of Wreckfest on the console of your choice; access to Wreckfest while in the Game Preview program on Xbox One; and lastly, and invitations to Wreckfest Betas on console.
While a definitive price for Wreckfest has not been confirmed for the console version of the game, Wreckfest has an estimated release of early Spring 2017.
